As the release date of Shah Rukh Khan’s highly-anticipated film “Pathaan” approaches on January 25th, 2023, rumours have surfaced about the star’s remuneration for the film. According to reports, SRK has charged a relatively low fee of 35-40 crores for “Pathaan,” despite being one of the biggest stars in the country. This is in contrast to Khiladi Akshay Kumar, who has been charging a much higher fee for his recent films. It is said that Akshay reportedly took 120 crores for “Cuttputlli,” a remake of “Rakshasudu,” which was released directly on Hotstar. Insiders claim that Akshay’s remuneration alone made up 80% of the film’s budget. While neither SRK nor Akshay has commented on these reports, it seems that SRK is more interested in profit sharing than charging exorbitant fees for a single film. “Pathaan” is being produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Siddharth Anand, and will be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. The film also stars John Abraham in a negative role, and Deepika Padukone as the female lead in this slick action thriller.
