SRK Lesser Than Akshay Kumar
As the release date of Shah Rukh Khan’s highly-anticipated film “Pathaan” approaches on January 25th, 2023, rumours have surfaced about the star’s remuneration for the film. According to reports, SRK has charged a relatively low fee of 35-40 crores for “Pathaan,” despite being one of the biggest stars in the country. This is in contrast to Khiladi Akshay Kumar, who has been charging a much higher fee for his recent films. It is said that Akshay reportedly took 120 crores for “Cuttputlli,” a remake of “Rakshasudu,” which was released directly on Hotstar. Insiders claim that Akshay’s remuneration alone made up 80% of the film’s budget. While neither SRK nor Akshay has commented on these reports, it seems that SRK is more interested in profit sharing than charging exorbitant fees for a single film. “Pathaan” is being produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Siddharth Anand, and will be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. The film also stars John Abraham in a negative role, and Deepika Padukone as the female lead in this slick action thriller. As the release date draws near, audiences are eager to see SRK back on the big screen after a five-year hiatus, and the trailer for “Pathaan” has only heightened expectations.
