Makeup Artist Of Jacqueline Displeased With ‘Naatu Naatu’s Oscar
SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’ has achieved a remarkable feat by winning the Best Original Song at the Oscars for the foot-tapping number ‘Naatu Naatu’, making it the first-ever Indian production to win the prestigious award. The win was celebrated not only by the movie’s team but also by the entire nation, as it put India on the global map.
However, there are some who are not convinced of the movie’s deservingness of the award. Jacqueline Fernandez’s makeup artist, Shaan Muttathil, took to Instagram to express his displeasure, claiming that the award had been bought. He has since deleted his comment, but not before it was captured by others and shared widely on social media.
It is important to note that ‘Naatu Naatu’ faced stiff competition from renowned international artists, including Rihanna and Lady Gaga. But in the end, it was the exceptional work of composer MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose that impressed the Academy and brought home the trophy.
