Kantara To Have A Sequel

Kannada hero and filmmaker Rishab Shetty’s name has been echoing all over the nation thanks to his recent outing ‘Kantara’. The movie achieved a pan-Indian hit status and filmy buffs were spellbound by Rishab’s acting, writing and direction. The film is doing great business in Telugu too and considering its investment, the movie has earned more than 10 times it. With ‘Kantara’ becoming such a big hit, people started asking Rishab about a possible sequel. The hero said that there is a lot of scope in the story to make either a prequel or a sequel. He added that he did not plan anything to date and wants to take a small break and spend quality time with his family and kids. Apparently, Rishab wanted ‘Kantara’ to have a straight release in Kannada alone as it is quite rooted and never had any plans of releasing it in other languages. He is happy with the success it is achieving and the spirit of the film is the key to its victory. He opined that ‘Kantara’ has unique content and the audience always encourages new content whether it is on OTT platforms or in theatres. Written and directed by Rishab Shetty himself, this movie is produced by Vijay Kiragandur. Music is composed by B Ajaneesh Loknath while Aravind S Kashyap is the cinematographer. Pratheek Shetty and KM Prakash are the editors and action is composed by Vikram Mor. Geetha Arts banner released the film in Telugu and it already minted 16 crores which is a massive feat for a movie with unknown actors.
