‘Bahumukham’ Is A Unique Suspense Psychological Thriller : Hero-Director Harshiv Karthik

Bahumukham is written, produced and directed by young talented Harshiv Karthik in the lead role. The tagline is Good, Bad & The Actor. This Suspense Drama Thriller was shot in many amazing locations around Atlanta, Macon, Canton Georgia, USA. The promotional content of this movie has created a good buzz. The film will release on April 5 as a summer special. In this context, Harshiv Karthik shared the features of the film in a press conference.

How did the ‘Bahumukham’ journey start?
-First I thought of proving myself by doing a different variation short film. Short film length is short and impact is high. But I find the idea of ​​’versatile’ very interesting. If a mentally ill person goes to an audition and is insulted, the line is how far he will go. The span increased while the story was being written. It was made into a feature film length film after it was believed that such a story has not come before us. Suspense thrillers are being watched more by the audience these days. I did this project to come up with unique projects as an actor as a director.

Do you have experience working in films?
-I work as a senior software engineer in US. I like movies since childhood. I tried a lot to go and work with someone as a part time. Time wasted but no proper project. I decided to start my own. I learned everything online after coming home from work. We are a middle class family. I have done it while balancing passion with job.

How did you prepare for acting?
– I should not be in the movie, only the character should appear. I have learned many techniques online for this. I have practiced some arts forms a lot. I took special training in Kathak dance. Tried to give my best.

Was the entire film shot in the US?
– Yes.. We are doing promotions with the tag ‘Madin USA.. Assemble India’. I made the film without compromise. We organized a workshop for each and made the film with a very clear vision. The reason for handling most of the departments myself is to reduce the cost. Doing thorough preproduction work was very rewarding. About forty new actors will be seen in it. I worked for about 14 hours a day. I have designed the film to have a good cinematic experience. Audiences who love suspenseful psychological thrillers will enjoy it a lot. The whole movie is very engaging.

How did you approach famous music directors like Fani Kalyan and Sricharan Pakala?
-Songs are composed by Fani Kalyan. He makes melodies wonderfully. Very good songs have been composed for this movie. I approached Sricharan Pakala for background music. He asked all the details about me. They also realized what my passion and commitment is. I showed the teaser. He liked it very much. Then he heard the whole story. Very brilliant background score.

Do you see the shades of Prabhudeva and Simbu in you? Did someone say
-Tell me. Some even said ‘Vijay la vuntao’. I think that was my luck.

What efforts are being made to take the film to the audience?
-We have done very good digital promotions. Also, what kind of films do they want as they meet the audience directly in the promotions? I also got to know their mindset. All this will help my next project. I enjoyed this journey and process a lot.

Next project?
– I have written an action drama. But in this project we have to focus on one thing instead of everything.
